Windsor Meats in turning 80!
Some places just stick around because they're that good!
Windsor Meats has been a North Shore staple for years, locally owned, and still making a tonne of stuff in-house — sausages, ready-made meals, roasting their own turkey, beef & ham, etc.
You go in for one thing and somehow leave with dinner sorted!
To celebrate 80 years in business, they're running customer appreciation days offering 15% off everything on the first Tuesday of every month.

🚦Shipyards Night Market detour
The Shipyards Night Market returns May 15 and runs every Friday through September 11, but there's a twist this summer. For six weeks in June and July, there’s kind of a big thing happening, and the market is trading the Shipyards for East 1st Street while Canada Soccer House takes over the Shipyards. They're calling it the Street Edition Open House, and it comes with DJs, a 2v2 soccer tournament on June 12, a Public Disco collab on June 19, and more to be announced. Same vibes, different pavement.
🎠 A heads up for Lynn Valley…
Lynn Valley Days won’t be happening this year. They decided to skip a year and bring it back in 2027. With the World Cup and Soccer House at the Shipyards, they felt there weren’t enough local resources for things like public safety. A bit of a miss for the neighbourhood but they aim to be back bigger and better in 2027. More info
😔The Pemby is Closing After 40 Years
The Pemberton Station Pub, a fixture on Pemberton Avenue since 1986, is closing its doors on June 28 after rising costs made it impossible to keep going. For generations of regulars who called it their living room, it's a tough one to swallow. If you haven't been in lately, now's the time. More info

One of the biggest cultural celebrations in Canada on May 3rd, the 5th Vancouver Hong Kong Fair brings HK artisans, food vendors, cultural exhibitions, live performances, and interactive experiences spread across the Commons, Pipe Shop, and outdoor areas.
