The best things to do on the North Shore - May 22 to 28, 2025

What’s Happening on the North Shore: May 22 to May 28 2025
Happy Thursday, North Shore Crew! Your weekly cheat-sheet to North & West Van is here 🎉
(New Here? Subscribe here so the fun stuff shows up every Thursday at 6am North Shore Standard Time 😉)
Got an event, business, or wild idea we should know about? Hit reply and tell us. We read every note.

ICYMI, we just launched more North Shore swag: a 2025 North Shore Brewery Print.
We partnered with local painter Erin Dobson to hand-paint 9 beer cans from some of your favourite North Shore breweries: Streetcar, Beere, Beva, Black Kettle, La Cerveceria Astilleros, Wildeye, House of Funk, North Point, and Bridge Brewing.
It’s 11'“ x 14” and will be printed locally in early June. Perfect for showcasing a little North Shore pride in your kitchen, bathroom, or over your bar fridge.
✅ The first 146 posters sold will be signed and numbered by Erin. These signed and numbered editions won't be available again once they're gone.
✅ Special pricing ($45 instead of the regular $50) ends Thursday, May 29 at 5:59am. (They’ll be printed and available for pick up in time for Father’s Day).
If you want to see the poster IRL, stop by Beere Brewing and inspect their walls. We’ll also have one at Black Kettle (starting later in the day on Thursday).
Questions? Thoughts? Just hit reply!

Next week, we’ll be launching a second weekly newsletter with all the best things to do nearby, but off the North Shore (but still close by). Think cool stuff happening in East Van and Downtown that might be worth the trip, plus bigger events you might consider an overnight for!
We’ll be sending it on either Monday or Tuesday morning, and it will become a regular thing for all paid subscribers who want it!
Which Name do you Prefer for the New Weekly Email? |
If you’re a founding member of Crew+ and want to receive the email next week, hit reply and we’ll get you set up!
And if you’re not in Crew+ but want to be, you can upgrade here, and you’ll get the new weekly email early next week.
🧢 North Shore Crew Hats
If you ordered a North Shore Crew hat, they are still in production. The hat patches hit a small snag and are being re-done; hopefully ready by the end of this week. Then they need to be attached to the hats. Sunny days upon us, and we’re anxious for our shiny new headwear. We will let you know as soon as they’re ready for pick up.

The Department of North Shore Affairs (that’s us) have hosted a couple of events now: Parent Patio and Trivia Night at Wildeye. Thanks to everyone who showed up to cheers with us; we look forward to hosting more of these in the future!
The next event for the North Shore Crew is a Playground Takeover. Details below. Hit reply to RSVP:
🛝 Playground Takeover (Saturday, May 24 at 10am): Got a toddler, preschooler, or lower-elementary-aged kid? Come meet other Crew families for a super casual morning at the park. Bring a coffee, a snack, and let the littles run wild while you connect with other grownups. Location: Bridgeman Park.
