🍻 Surprise Merch Drop: 2025 North Shore Brewery Print (Limited Signed & Numbered Prints Available)
Q: What’s better than a sunny weekend on a brewery patio, sipping a cold one with friends?
A: Staring at that brewery’s can while you crack a cold one at home, of course.
We’ve been teasing it for a few weeks…and now it’s here. Dropping just in advance of Father’s Day (but an awesome piece of North Shore pride for your own house, too).
One of our goals with this newsletter is to create fun things that showcase how awesome the North Shore is. And this print is part of that.
We teamed up with local painter Erin Dobson to create a limited-edition 2025 North Shore Brewery Print (11” x 14”), featuring hand-painted cans from your favourite North Shore breweries: Streetcar, Beere, Beva, Black Kettle, La Cerveceria Astilleros, Wildeye, House of Funk, North Point, and Bridge Brewing are all featured!
It’s a bit fun, a bit irreverent, and 100% designed to capture a snapshot of our North Shore lives in 2025.
✅ The first 146 posters sold will be signed and numbered by Erin. Think 1/146, 2/146, etc. Once the numbered ones are gone, they’re gone forever.
✅ Regular price is $50. For the next 2 weeks, they’re $5 off ($45 until Thursday, May 29 at 6am).
Questions? Thoughts? Just hit reply!
🧢 North Shore Crew Hats are Almost Ready
If you ordered a North Shore Crew hat, we should have an update for you next week - the patch maker has been backlogged, but our awesome hat supplier is trying to move them along and get the hats finished. Fingers crossed we’ll be ready to wear our Crew hats soon!
Reminder: if we spot you in the wild wearing a North Shore Crew hat, we are legally obligated to buy you a beer, no matter the time of day. To keep things consistent we should probably buy you one of the beers on the North Shore Brewery Print! 😉

The Department of North Shore Affairs (that’s us) hosted its first meetup last Thursday: Parent Patio! Thanks to everyone who showed up to cheers with us; we look forward to hosting more of these in the future!
More events for the North Shore Crew include:
🧠 Wednesday, May 21 at 8pm: Crew Trivia Night at Wildeye: Let’s get a North Shore Crew trivia team (or two!) together for Wildeye’s weekly trivia night. Come solo or bring a buddy. Free to play and guaranteed fun, even if we don’t win. Trivia starts at 8pm.
🛝 Playground Takeover (Saturday, May 24 at 10am): Got a toddler, preschooler, or lower-elementary-aged kid? Come meet other Crew families for a super casual morning at the park. Bring a coffee, a snack, and let the littles run wild while you connect with other grownups. Location: Bridgeman Park.
If you want to attend, hit reply to RSVP!

🚨 New Restaurant Alert: Liberty Kitchen is Open in Lynn Creek
Liberty Kitchen just opened in Lynn Creek (1378 Main Street, North Van), offering an alternative to the Browns/Cactus/Earls trifecta. Imagine Browns Social House came home from a pasta-fuelled Italy vacation and decided to open a new, Mediterranean-inspired version of itself. Menu-wise, expect a heavier emphasis on pizza and pasta, plus Med-style takes on the bowls and salads that work well at Browns. Local beers, Italian wines, and cocktails to wash it down. West Coast refined casual…maybe wearing slightly nicer shoes than its local cousin (Browns). [See the Menu]
🥂 Cheer by the Pier (Formerly Beer by the Pier) is Back
The 10th annual Cheer by the Pier is back in support of Family Services of the North Shore. Expect a night of great food along with handcrafted cocktails, local beer, great wine, and mocktails and other N/A options for those who don’t want to imbibe. Silent auction and 50/50 raffle to raise some funds for vulnerable children and youth on the North Shore, and a DJ to set the mood for some dance floor moves. This is event usually sells out, so don’t sleep on tickets. [Tickets and More]

🌮 Shipyards Night Market Opening Night
One of the North Shore’s best Friday night traditions is back, running every Friday night from May 16 to September 12 (3pm to 10pm). As always, expect artisan market vendors, lots of food trucks, live music, and the Garden Beer market serving up some of your favourite beverages.
This week, catch Miss Shauna (5pm to 6pm), Dancing Witches (6:30pm to 6:45pm), and Matty Miller and the Barge Boys (7pm to 10pm) on the stage, with DJ Mike Madness spinning in between acts.
🚵 Mavericks Bike Camps at Grouse
Hold onto your helmets - Grouse’s new bike park is coming in hot with brand new kids camps. Completely separate from the normal Grouse summer camps, these full-day downhill mountain biking camps are for kids ages 7 to 14, with 3 different ability levels (beginner, novice, and intermediate). Hot Tip: if your kid will be 7 by the time they do the camp, but aren’t yet 7, the Grouse system won’t let you register online. Call Guest Services and they’ll sort you out. [More Info]
🛑 Ron Andrews Closure
FYI, Ron Andrews will be closed on Saturday (May 17) due to a planned BC Hydro outage in the area. It will re-open on Sunday (May 18) at 8am.
