News & Events on the North Shore - April 3 to 9, 2025

What’s Happening on the North Shore: April 3 to April 9, 2025

Happy Thursday, and thanks for being part of the North Shore Crew! We’re on a mission to make life more fun on the North Shore 🎉

If someone forwarded you this email, subscribe here so we hit your inbox next Thursday at 6am North Shore Standard Time 👉 https://northshorenow.beehiiv.com/

Last piece of business before we get to the good stuff:

Looking for Easter basket fillers that aren’t candy, chocolate, or - cough, cough - shedding microplastics around your house?

These adorable Magnesium Bunny Soaps are North Shore made, safe for kids with all skin types, and, (best of all) every soap contains a surprise eco-friendly toy inside — like one of those banned-in-the-USA chocolate eggs with toys inside, but for bath time (and way better for your kids and the planet).

Available in a variety of natural scents for just $9 each, with pickup in West Vancouver or North Shore delivery.

Want to try making your own?

Join a kid-friendly (and fun for adults!) Easter-themed magnesium soap-making class on April 16 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Learn the science of soap-making while creating 2 custom soaps with a toy of your choice for just $25. Add a full tray of 8 soaps for only $50 more ($6.25 per soap).

🐻 Name That Bear

Last week, we asked you to suggest names for the new North Shore Now bear mascot.

We received 40 responses, with 37 unique names. Check out all 37 names here, and then tell us which ones you like. Check-off as many as you like!

Next week, we’ll take the top 4 or 5 for a final vote!

(Several of you submitted name suggestions, but didn’t leave your email address. If you suggested Guinness or Beary McBearFace, hit reply to let us know).

🧢 Hats? Heck, Yeah!

Thanks for everyone who voted in last week’s extremely important poll about hats. Turns out, lots of you are hat lovers (maybe also secret handshake lovers?). With your vote of confidence, we’re going to do a limited run of hats and will have an update soon. Shout-out to Johnnie for suggesting we order kids sizes, too!
