🚸 More road safety projects coming to West Van

It might get easier to get speed bumps, flashing crosswalks, and other road safety upgrades approved in West Van soon. Council voted to loosen the criteria used to evaluate neighbourhood concerns, which means more streets may qualify for improvements. Sidewalks, speed feedback signs, and pedestrian safety upgrades are already planned for parts of 13th Street, Marine Drive, 15th Street, Mathers Avenue, and the Taylor Way interchange. More info

⛱️ Help keep Batch on the North Shore

Last summer, Batch quickly became a popular spot in Ambleside with drinks, live music, chill summer beach vibes, and plenty of space for families and dogs to hang out. But it remains closed, and its future remains uncertain, and supporters launched a petition last Fall for the District to work with the owner on a long-term solution to keep Batch around.
