What’s Happening on the North Shore:
April 23 to 29, 2026

Good morning, North Shore Crew! Your weekly cheat-sheet to North & West Van is here. New Here? Subscribe here

Scroll down to find food & bev events, family events, stuff for adults, seniors and live music & pub events!👇

📣 Breaking News! deet…deet deet deet…This just in…Second Narrows is the most congested crossing in Metro Van! (duh)

My fellow North Shore residents, your daily suffering has officially been confirmed by data. Second Narrows is now the most congested crossing in Metro Vancouver, with over 130,000 vehicles a day squeezing across six lanes that were never meant to handle this much punishment. The Province is aware. There are no committed upgrades. More info

🏷️ Angry Otter & Forno closed & up for sale

📫 Canada Post might be coming for your mailbox

About 23,000 North Shore homes will lose door-to-door mail delivery by end of year or early 2027. Canada Post is converting to community mailboxes as they navigate shark infested financial waters. They’re starting with addresses closest to existing ones. You'll get a letter warning you it's coming, which is at least a little ironic. If you’re in V7M, V7P, V7R, V7S, V7T, V7V, or V7W watch for that letter. More info
